I have a question and I am hoping to receive genuine, honest answers. Preferably unbiased as well, but I know when I’m pressing my luck. :)
This has to do with a few rumors I have heard on the streets regarding the New York Mosque, Anti-Islamism sentiments and, yes, SB1070.
It seems the recent word is that anti-Islamism doesn’t exactly exist in America. That it’s nothing more than an elaborate Liberal ploy indented to distract America from the issues of the Mexico-American border and the kafuffle over Brewer’s Law. That Liberals are somehow taking advantage of the controversy of the NY Mosque by means of showing support for its construction, resulting in an electric charge throughout the conservative movement and keeping the focus there instead of on Mexico as some means to either pass an amnesty law or shove immigration aside altogether.
Has anyone else heard this? Is anyone actually buying it?

So, my fellow iReporters: what say you? Is Anti-Islamism real, is it a threat, or is it merely a concoction of the Liberal base for means as distraction from core issues many conservatives hold dear as the mid-term elections grow even closer still?
