Last night's America's Got Talent had the first twelve acts perform to go on to the top ten. Five acts will be announced on tonight's show. Judges Piers Morgan, Sharon Osborne and Howie Mandel were there to give opinions to the acts. Nick Cannon is the host of the show and interviews each act after their performance. The acts performing last night were:
Anna and Patryk...From New York. 12 yr. old ballroom dancers that in my opinion are perfection. These two kids dance as well as any of the professional dancers on Dancing With The Stars. Perfection! Future Superstars.
Christina and Ali...From Idaho. Sister singers, both have cystic fibrosis. Sorry, but they are not of the caliber that make superstar status. Ali was off key, they did harmonize well at first, but the entire performance was not good enough to warrant a million dollar act in Las Vegas.
Antonio Restivo...From Nevada. Fire driven illusionist. Usually his act are exciting to me, but last night's performance had a very slow start and wasn't all that exciting.
Future Funk...From California. Two very tiny little boys, 5ys. old and 10 yrs. old who dance Hip Hop. Yes they are adorable but their act is for children, not a Vegas act and not worthy of voting off other acts just to keep them on. Piers buzzed them and they gave him attitude about that, they also gave Sharon attitude. Maybe that attitude is part of their act but I found it very annoying as did their "praying" to the audience last time they were up for a vote. Watch for that pitiful "praying" again tonight.
Taylor Matthews...From Louisiana. This time Taylor went out of his comfort zone and played the piano while singing with his amazing voice. I liked the way he sang and engaged his audience. Howie and Piers liked him better on his Guitar.
Connor Doran...From Oregon. Kite flyer. He flies kites to beautiful music. Very relaxing and peaceful normally, but last night I think he picked the wrong music, it wasn't nearly as good an act as his last two performances.
Dan Sperry...From Nevada. Magician with a dark side, a very dark side. This performance was the worst, amateurish carnival type act. Using Nick, he pretended to cut off Nick's arm. The act was bad because it had no imagination to it at all, Dan even stood in front of Nick so obvious that he couldn't pull this act off. Total dud.
Kristina Young...From South Dakota. She didn't surprise me, what surprised me, was that she was picked by the youtube group at all. She picked a Lady GaGa song that, according to ALL three judges, she basically butchered. Her voice was bad and the song was bad. All three judges buzzed her.
ArcAttack...From Texas. A group of self professed nerds that make music from electricity bolts! They are extremely exciting to watch and since the music is made the way it is, it's amazing to hear too! Very unique.
Michael Grimm...From Mississippi. Last night, Michael picked the perfect song and sang it perfectly too. His performance all around was fantastic. Michael finally found his confidence and it showed.
AcenDance...From California. Rock climbers who almost seem to be doing ballet, ariel and hip hop all a the same time. I haven't seen them once where I didn't enjoy them, but Piers buzzed them saying their performance was boring and the music was wrong for the act.
Prince Poppycock...From California. Opera singer who wears outlandish but awesome costumes. Utterly fantastic. Last night he sang a Queen song by Freddie Mercury Bohemain Rhapsody. His singing was perfect, his performance was perfect and funny. This man could easily put on a show in Las Vegas and entertain us thoroughly. Sharon said he was a Superstar and that he is the male Lady GaGa!
Be sure to watch tonight's show to see the results.
My Picks.
Prince Poppycock
ArcAttack
Michael Grimm
Anna and Patryk
Taylor Matthews
