When I think of Forrest I often picture him sitting at my kitchen table on a Saturday morning studying for one of Dale Soden's history tests. He loved American history, and his classmates like me loved him.
Often times when people remember those who died young they feel a need to exaggerate by saying he was a 'great American' or was 'one of the best people I ever met.' But with Forrest this is absolutely true, no exaggeration necessary. Of this I am certain: He loved God; he loved America and its history; and he had great personal integrity.
I will never forget him. And I am so grateful to him and his family for their sacrifices for me and my family. Please know that I often think of both you and Forrest.
