Charlie Rose interviewed Mohammed Ahmadinejad last night in a NYC hotel before the meeting today at the United Nations....
The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, skillfully played by a slighter-built but near-clone of Robert DiNiro constantly referred to Rose as "friend"...assuring the frequently speechless Rose that they were "friends" and that he was speaking to him as a "friend" giving him "friendly" advice...and all Charlie could come up with were pathetically weak responses such as "I'm trying to understand Iran" and in a whimpering voice asked the Presidint..."What can we do to make it better?"
Charlie, I think you wasted what could have and should have been an hour during which you could have been something more than "dopey." Charlie you seemed to know very little about the criminal proceedings against Sakineh Mohammed-Astiani not about her impending sentence of "stoning"...nor about men and women being treated equally:unequally by the Iranian legal system...Charlie..Charlie..Charlie...what a blunder!
My advice:...stop trying to have so many "Facebook" friends and do your job as an interviewer.
