The most revered Ganesha (Elephant God) in Mumbai is from Lalbaug, a suburb in Central Mumbai. Lovingly called 'Lalbaug Cha Raja' or The King of Lalbaug, he is visited by the poorest of poor and the richest of rich, by celebraties and by politicians and by one an all. You must queue up for darshan (blessings) that could see you wait for over 10-12 hours.. Mumbaikars (the people of Mumbai) come from all over to make a wish, seek blessings, and thank when wishes are granted.
