The rumors are spreading that KIMEP (one of the most prestigious university in Central Asia). Will be closed down on Sunday the 26th of September. More about the issue here: http://www.eurasianet.org/node/61978
We are around 40 exchange students here, totally clueless of which actions to take. Rumors tell about deporting students back to their countries and there's a concern of not getting credit points. Since the issue is in very early stage there is not much information availible what's going to happen to all of the students and international faculty. Could become an interesting story though, since some of the reasons why they want to close down seem totally ridiculous and another university named by the president in Astana has been recently opened.
