this was another act of creativity by a group of youth in Ahmedabad city in the state of Gujarat in western India. As I said the Ganesh festival which lasts for ten days means these days lot of creativity .. but this youth group: Shri Shiv Shakti Mitra Mandal, led by its active member Mr. Nirav Panchal explains me that since Ganesh festival attracts thousands of people (daily 4000 people), they thought of conveying a social message of healthcare...and appealing people to get rid of tobacco chewing (which is now rampant even among youth), smoking, drugs, alcohol (in one of their message board they say each of these items give "prizes" such as cancer, etc..so they appeal it is better not to deserve such awards quit bad habits.), they also claimed that these days lot of girls are also getting into various addictions. they also had a aids awareness campaign and message. As part of this programme they had also conducted blood donation camps, health check up camps, cancer detection camps, etc. they say since there is no hardcore ban of these health hazard items, they thought of taking the health care law in their own hands by creating awareness like this.
