My husband Billy n I lost someone in the war that we will never forget! He was the best person we have ever known. Jeffro was not only a best friend to us, but also a brother! He grew up w/ my husband his whole life. I am lucky to have met him when I was 14yrs old. How does one explain the kind of man that Jeffro was? He was the type of person that everyone loved and cared for. We had so many great times w/ him, but definately not enough. I will always remember the precious time we all shared together. Along w/ that I will always remeber that unique smile n laugh he had. As no one else will ever compare. Just thinking about him cracking jokes w/ us puts a smile on my face. Jeffro was a great person. He always had our best intrest at heart and would be there for us no matter what. It's a struggle for Billy and I both to come to terms w/ his death still to this day. We often share dreams where this tragedy never occured and we see our friend come home to us. He tells us how it was all a big mistake and he has come home to stay. I don't feel that we will ever get over our friends death. We have learned to deal w/ it and that is it. For us it is definately the hardest time that we have endured. I am glad to say that Jeffro's life made such and impact on us that we only hope that our two boys grow up to be just like their Uncle Jeffro!
