Attorney-General reporting the public figure and political reporter Hamdy Kandeel to the criminal court to be charged of what the Egyptian minister of foreign affairs considered "libel" !
i'm not sure if the Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs and the attorney general really knows the meaning of "libel" charges !! Puts me in a very awkward embarrassing situation as an egyptian citizen to hear and know that this person "foreign affairs minister " is representing egypt all over the world! he ofcouse show how clueless and uneducated he is of his country's laws and legal definitions !!
The Egyptian minister of foreign affairs who should be representing egypt internationally proved with great idiocy the facts that all egyptian citizens been begging and screaming to be heard by the human rights to take an action for! which is how rotten the egyptian president mubarak's regime and his "crew" abusing the system and their political position for their own benefits, ignoring all the consequences.
ofcourse as Hamdy Kandeel is a public figure they cant do but suing him with stupid charges.. but if it was just a normal citizen, he would've been dead as we speak! yes, thats true, facts are available if only the human rights too some action they will prove it right! thanks to you " Egyptian Foreign Minister" to prove the Egyptian citizens' point to the world!
The great reporter "Hamdy Kandeel who is well know in the middle east as an honest and respectful reporter was charged of libel due to his article published on may 3rd 2010, at " Al-Shorouq" Egyptian newspaper "The Humiliation of country and citizens" , that was considered an attack to "Aboul Gheit for his statement considering Israel as an enemy! that he himself apologized for and withdrew back to correct the situation!
So Mr. Kandeel's article that he is getting sued for stated "before the downfall the egyptian councilor in israel said that he doesn't reside in an enemy country! rejecting and denying the permission for the egyptian foreign affairs minister to call israel an enemy, as thats one of the many words that leaks out of the foreign minister's mouth as a waste thats falling out of a leaky garbage bag!
i honestly can not believe that he got offended by that expression! well am not sure he even should be the minister of foreign affairs, if has cant control his words and his own opinion publicly, then there is a problem here, he is out there to represent his country not himself!!
i beleive that israel should be suing him for saying that, as this breaks alot of international laws!
shame on you mubarak to hire such person to represent egypt, and shame on you egyptian foreign minister to stay in your chair!!.. you both do not represent me nor an egyptian dead or alive!!
