I took this photo myself from the 8th floor balcony of the Carousel Resort located oceanside in Ocean City Maryland around 12 noon today.
In the photo is my husband, Anthony. We are on vacation here, from Shoreham, NY which is located in the Eastern Long Island region. We decided to stay when the forecast predicted Earl would remain well offshore from the Ocean City area, and the forecast for our home seemed to be worse.
The beach is 80% covered with storm surge. High tide is not until 3pm.
