It's a bitter war of ideology that seems endless. The resentment between Liberals and Conservatives is destroying America. Liberals fight to promote progressive advancement, while Conservatives battle to preserve principles of the past. Both have legitimate arguments but neither are willing to compromise! Personally I believe progression improves the quality of life for all Americans, it's merely a process of keeping up with the transition of time, technology and innovation. Progression symbolizes the advancement of academic creativity in science, medicine and industrialization. It promotes pragmatic ideology, and reasoning, enhanced by critical thinking as it relates to problem solving and resolution. Conservatives seem to be set on leaving things as they were, unchanged, simple and generic. There is nothing wrong with that concept, except the fact that it inhibits social and political growth and ingenuity. Conservatives are good people, the problem is that they insist that everyone should live by their code of ethics; which I don't think is fair or sensible. That concept is what has triggered the bitterness among Liberals and Conservatives. There seem to be no medium of compromise, nothing but finger pointing, insults and volatile animosity. I would like to know if it's possible to find a common ground of acceptance from both sides. This endless rival has divided this nation on the fronts of religion, ethnicity, language and culture. Liberals are really trying to bring balanced to these problems, but they need the willingness of Conservatives to become more cooperative in the quest to unify this nation. The ultimate question is, can it happen, and if so, when?
