Jason is the son of my beautifull sister Pam and my brother in-law Mike.
I wish so much that I had taken the time necessary over the earlier years to better understand and know what my young nephew, Jason, was all about.
While I had a superficial relationship with my nephew that was polite and cordial I didn't take time to get to know a wonderful young man that was a truly outstanding individual devoted to Jesus, loved his family, sought additional education continually and a man that wanted to contribute to this world on a much higher level.
My loss completely.
Many and most of us talk about what we would have done, what we can do , and what we will do. Jason was so much different than the normal person like you and I, that just talks.
Jason was an honorable man that desired his life to count for something so much more that most of us. Jason had specific goals in life to achieve and such a driving desire to contribute, help and make a difference for others, and he was sucessful in his final contribution.
Jason gave all that he could, he gave everything.
While I find it unbearable to think of the pain my sister Pam and her husband Mike endure daily, surely it must give them some comfort knowning Jason gave his life for what he believed an absolute worthy cause and by all accounts Jason is, and will always be conconsidered, a hero.
The rest of us just die.
