These students are part of the solution to fixing schools and education. Students are key stakeholders in improving education, yet are too often forgotten. Students can play an important role in making schools work better, and having their input and help in technology makes sense. This digital generation has a lot to offer the adults in the system -- but only if the adults are willing to learn alongside students.
GenYES stands for a Generation of Youth and Educators Succeeding. In hundreds of schools across the US, teams of GenYES students are making their voices heard by helping teachers use technology in every classroom. These students provide much needed support for time-strapped teachers who want to use 21st century tools in their lessons. In return, these students learn that they can be valued, responsible digital citizens in their schools and in the wider world.
