I am Amber Patrick and my husband Randy Patrick  is in Bagram Afghanistan for a 125 day tdy. We have 3 children. Two daughters, Ashlyn, 11, and Teagan, 2, and a son Bryan, almost 4 months. Randy left Cheyenne Wyoming on August 26, 2010. We are hoping he will be back in mid January 2011. Since he has been gone Ashlyn has settled into a new school for the 6th grade and moved into her new bedroom that Randy built for her before he left. Teagan has changed rooms and started sleeping in a big girl bed. Bryan has started laughing and sleeping through a few nights. We miss him so much and can't wait for this experience to be over. We want him to be safe and happy while he is over seas. While he has been gone I am so impressed with the great number of friends and coworkers he has left who have continued to "check" on us and constantly offer help to me and my family. It is a great feeling to know that others love and miss him just as we do.

My husband and I suffered from infertility for many years. We went through miscarriages, failed adoption, and the death of our daughter shortly after she was born; we also went through the births of our very healthy 2 sons. We never used IVF, but we did use other infertility treatments.

We have many friends that we have met through our infertility struggles. Many of these friends would not have the children they have today if it were not for IVF. They give their happiness and hopes and dreams up to this technology. However, there are many of these friends that are still waiting for their gifts from God. When I went into college to get my degree in molecular and cellular biology, it was the express purpose of becoming an embryologist and doing research in infertility and IVF. Now that I have my degree, i'm just waiting to find the right job in the IVF field. So without Dr. Edwards, I would not have my current career path.

I remembered that when I heard Michael Jackson died on June 25,2009.  I was kinda mad becausei never really knew things  about him and that I knew he had alot of fans that cared about him and that loves to listen to his music and there were some people that wanted to be just like him and he was the best of king of pop so the first time I heard that it was on all the news channels and that they had it on tv about his death all that day and I started to cry when I saw it on tv and that's all I remember about Michael Jackson

You would have thought the American Giant would have responded to take action or to protect American Citizens from the dangers.. I have no idea WHY our Government has refused to take action.. (CNN) – A spokesman for Sen. Jim DeMint tells CNN the South Carolina Republican was merely stating his position that school boards should be in control of hiring decisions when the senator reportedly said Saturday that gays and unwed mothers should be banned from teaching.

"Senator DeMint believes that hiring decisions at local schools are a local school board issue, not a federal issue. He was making a point about how the media attacks people for holding a moral opinion," a spokesman for DeMint said Tuesday.

Speaking at a church rally in Spartanburg, South Carolina, DeMint told attendees people quietly told him he should not back down from a position he took in 2004 that openly gay individuals and single mothers who are involved in a sexual relationship should not be allowed to teach. He did not weigh in on whether unwed men should be allowed to teach.

"(When I said those things,) no one came to my defense," he said, according to the Spartanburg Herald-Journal. "But everyone would come to me and whisper that I shouldn't back down. They don't want government purging their rights and their freedom to religion."

DeMint, who faces an easy Senate re-election battle against Democratic candidate Alvin Greene, has become a king-maker in conservative circles, backing many candidates in the GOP primaries who defeated candidates supported by establishment Republicans.

Responding to DeMint's comments, the Republican organization GOProud said, “Jim DeMint is doing his best to make Alvin Greene look sane.”

“Jim DeMint’s comments can only be described as outrageous and bizarre," said Christopher R. Barron, Chairman of the GOProud Board. "The idea that someone who says they believe in limited government would support the government weeding out gay teachers and unmarried sexually active female teachers simply defies logic.”

About “freedom of religion”.  If DeMint was speaking solely about the hiring practices of privately-funded or exempt religious schools, such as St. Mary’s Catholic School for Girls, I can understand his position and even respect his call for ‘freedom of religion’. However, he’s talking about all schools – publicly funded schools filled with children and adults from all walks of life and religious backgrounds.  If DeMint had his way, where would their freedom of religion be?

This man represents the facet of the right wing that must be taken seriously and squashed.  He, and his ilk, are fighting for religious control of the government.  If they succeed, he has made it clear that he will then use that control to expand his personal religious beliefs upon his entire district.  If allowed to grow, this push could very well become a theocracy.

If an unwed mother or gay man or woman has taken on the enterprise of becoming an educator, of not only placing a valid interest in the future our of nation, and especially in a time when our unemployment rate is so high, are we seriously considering returning to the mentality of the 1970’s?  Are we willing to allow people like DeMint, many of which fill the ranks of the Tea Party, to tear apart the very foundation of our nation under the guise of ‘smaller government’?

And what about unwed fathers?  DeMint is perfectly silent on this issue.

Keep religion in the church and in the home, and OUT OF POLITICS.

After getting pregnant with our daughter naturally and without complications, we had no reason to anticipate the tremendous struggle we would encounter in attempting to conceive a second child. However, four years and four miscarriages later, we owe everything to the IVF process and to the tremendous team of doctors at SIUE School of Medicine that helped us get where we are today. After 3 intense years of medical procedures and multiple miscarriages, we found ourselves completely devastated emotionally. Bobby Wills, a legendary hang gliding champion, was featured in an issue of Sports Illustrated, a movie by Twentieth Century Fox and in a film shown in the Smithsonian Institution

Author Maralys Wills recently re-released Higher Than Eagles. The award winning hang gliding memoir is now under consideration for major studio movie.  Higher Than Eagles won 5 movie options in the 90s, including from Disney, Finnegan-Pinchuk, (the producers of 'Northern Exposure') and Greg MacGillivray (of Imax fame). It has once again attracted new movie possibilities. The book is centered around the family of the late Bobby Wills, hang glider extraordinaire who became a living legend in the sport.

"I wrote this book," stated Ms. Wills, "because my son became famous in hang gliding, and I didn't want the world to forget him. Since the book underwent endless revisions and took 14 years to find a publisher, I was able to live with my son 14 years longer than everyone else."

Sports Illustrated featured Bob and his brother Chris in the December 10, 1973 issue.   In 1973, Chris Wills won the First United States Hang Gliding Championships, and Bob was runner-up.  In 1974 Bob was the Champion, and Chris was runner-up.  When Bobby was killed in 1977 by a helicopter filming a commercial for Willys Jeep, he was the British, Canadian, and United States hang gliding champion. Sports Illustrated wrote of him: “Like Paul Elvstrom, the great Danish sailor, he seems now to own a special part of the wind that not even he can see and no one else can find.”

Both Bob and Chris were featured as the primary pilots in the 1975 Twentieth-Century Fox movie, “Skyriders,” featuring Susannah York, James Coburn, and Robert Culp.  A young Bob Wills still appears today as the sole hang glider pilot featured in the Smithsonian Institution’s Imax film, “To Fly.”  A writeup about Bob appeared in the Los Angeles Times and was reprinted in 56 newspapers across the country including The Chicago Sun Times, The Atlanta Constitution, The San Francisco Chronicle, The Orange County Register, The Huntsville Times, The Greensboro News and Record and many others.

Gene Cranick sat with his local Fire Dept & watched his house Burn to the Ground. These Firemen REFUSED to put water on the fire because he didn't pay a fee..

This home owner didn't pay the required $75 yearly fee the Fire Department required for him to be protected by the fire department. These guys did finally start spraying water, only to put out the grass fire in a neighbor's yard..

There was a time that Firemen felt a need to protect life & property, now they only seem to be worried about making sure these people paid a fee.. $75 vs a family home..

During the execution of this instrument and before a notary, Samantha Lowry requested a DNA test of the baby. (A mother who does not know who is the father of her son…) the DNA is to take place that same week.

But Samantha kidnaps the baby at 8 months old with her boyfriend Tristan Nind and has concealed the whereabouts of the baby up to date.

We hereby request Justice Hogg to serve Justice in this case and with just a few exhibits shows why is a matter of urgency to protect the baby from this harm, but also between our nations to respect Treaties and agreements of our countries (pacta sunt servanda)

My daughter is 12, we have had several problems with bulling towards her over the last 3 yrs, more so in the last year. Amazing how the school is not as sensitive or aware as they should be; there is no zero tolerance. Funny I picked up Odd girl out 3 weeks ago due to my concern for my daughters well being.
