CNN's food blog Eatocracy is unapologetically obsessed with edibles, eating, and the culture around it. It doesn't matter  if you don't know Le Cordon Bleu from Captain Crunch -- My friends eat every day, so they have some stories to share...

Defined loosely in pop culture circles a foodie is: A person that spends a fair amount of time, attention and energy on food, food prep, and food facts.  He or she derives great pleasure from fierce and fabulous ingredients - Eats to live and lives to eat!  Not  a food snob, simply a food lover.  Best of all, these folks also like to "spread the love"

What do my "Foodie Firiends" have to share?

I love Boston ALMOST as much as I adore my gal pal and fellow foodie,  Chef Rebecca Newell,  Executive Chef of The Beehive, the hottest restaurant and live music hangout in Boston.

Known from "sea to shining sea" for her victory on the Food Network’s “Chopped,”  Her passion for cooking  started young.

“Growing up I was encouraged to become creative in the kitchen using everyday cuisine. As a Chef at The Beehive I get to apply the same creativity to create great, relatable comfort food,”

Pull up your appetite folks for a heapin' portion of fabulous!  I am still workin' off my meal on the treadmill from when I visited the           THE BEEHIVE

Thanks Rebecca I had a great time...But none of my pants fit now!
