So that disgraced, discredited self-promoting moron Newt Gingrich thinks that building a mosque near the site of the Sept. 11 attacks “would be like putting a Nazi sign next to the Holocaust Museum" and that it would be a symbol of Muslim “triumphalism”.

What a political opportunist, trying to get attention by creating a controversy where one doesn't exist. What an a**hole. And he is a stupid one at that; he has no sense of logic whatsoever.

Putting a statue of Osama bin Laden at ground zero would be like putting a Nazi sign next to the Holocaust Museum.

Putting a mosque 2 blocks from ground zero would be the same as putting a church 2 blocks from the Holocaust Museum. After all, it was the Nazis – who were Christians - who killed millions of Jews. But Newt would never oppose a church being built anywhere – it’s not good politics.

I work in Manhattan. I saw the towers burning with my own eyes. I know somebody who died on that day. That day will be burned into my mind forever. .

But I am intelligent enough, not to mention tolerant enough, to know that there is NOTHING wrong or controversial about building a mosque, wherever that may be. It's NO different than building a church or synagogue. If you think there is, you are wrong. And that’s a FACT.

I am intelligent enough to see that anybody opposed to this is equates all Muslims with Al Qaeda. Well, Hitler was a Christian, so by that logic all Christians are Nazis. Both are absurd notions, not to mention patently false and illogical.

I am also a patriot. I support the US Constitution and appreciate the fact that our country was founded on the ideals of liberty and freedom. Religious freedom is protected by our Constitution. Hence why this is a non-issue; religious freedom is a part of the fabric of our country .

Anybody that sees a problem with this is simply so stupid they should not be allowed to vote.
