Hello,
The job situation is horrific in Florida. President Obama said he was going to stop off-shoring and the corporate incentives to move jobs from America. PWC is phasing out 500 hi-paying IT jobs in Tampa to move them to India, what a disgrace.
Even more disgraceful is the Verizon sweat shop in Tampa (Temple Terrace) that employes several thousand Indian H1-B workers. This comes at the expense of Americans and profits corporate greed. How can one company get away with so many H1-B's when unemployment is so high? Why does the government do nothing to represent the Americans and their jobs from this blatant violation of the intent of the visa? Verizon should be penalized for their poor treatment of not only the Indian workers who are overworked and underpaid, but the Americans that they displaced in their own country.
500 more jobs leave to India and thousands of Indians come to take low wages to displace Americans, when does the system start working for Americans?
Sincerely,
David
