I usually post only my ghost photos, like the one shown here of a small girl in white in a local cemetery. But I think this story is worth repeating to everyone-especially teens and young drivers. The other night, a local girl in her 20s was kiilled in a viaduct in downtown Springfield, just down from the State Capitol. We had a torrential rain that had flooded the viaduct with 3 to 4 feet of water. A girl and some friends drove around a baracade into the viaduct and her car got stuck. She and a passenger got out to push the car and she slipped into a manhole that the storm had caused to blow partially off. She got pulled down with the suction and trapped. Neither her friends nor police could revive her. She drowned. Very sad. This was one thing that I really have never thought of=that possibly there may be an open manhole. I have a 17 year old grandson, and have passed this onto him. Thank you.
