Get ready for three days of some of the best Heavy Metal music today, right here in upstate New York. This is not your mom and dad's Woodstock!! The man Randeze, the pied piper of Heavy Metal, has called all to the gathering. The place Orange Couty Speed Way in Middletown NY. The date September 24th through the 26th. It's been years since Orange County Speedway has had Heavy Metal concerts and I really do not think they have ever seen anything of this magnitude. Randeze, the man behind TMT (Total Metal Television), has used his influence in the industry to organize one of the most unbelievable festivals. Not since Woodstock has this area seen something like this. Over 80 bands have signed up to perform on three different stages during the three day event. Big name bands like Mushroomhead, OTEP, Suffocation, Winds Of Plague, Goatwhore and Tantric will be there, just to name a few. Also, some of the new up coming great bands like Slam One Down and Seelow Heights will have a chance to be on stage with the best in the business.
Randeze is a one of a kind a promoter who is doing this for the love of the music and not for the coin he can put in his pocket. Sure, he will make some money, but that's not what this man is about. A musician himself, he knows how hard it is for a band to break into the music business, especially a Heavy Metal band. No longer around are the big clubs that used to host shows for the smaller unknown. Well, some places are still around but the bands now have to pay to play or sell a large number of tickets. Yes, you heard me right. A new band no longer gets payed to play in a club they must pay to play. It's considered a pro bono thing. They (the clubs and you know who you are) say it's the only way to get the exposure a band needs. The only real money they get is from the merchandise they can sell and some places even take a percentage of that. Randeze thinks this is unacceptable to pay an exorbanent amount to do what you love. This is what separates TMT from the rest of the so called promoters. He's been there he's done that and now he is doing something about it. It's all for the love of the music!
Extreme Heavy Metal along with traditional Metal has not been in the forefront in some time. TMT MetalFest will change that. This three day event gives you everything you could possibly want at a true music festival. An array of spectacular theatrical bands that feature costumes, makeup, lights, special effects, fog and much more. An art form within itself. A true experience.
