Venezuela's ambassador in Tehran said that his government would not be "bullied" into halting gasoline shipments, adding Venezuela will continue its energy cooperation with Iran.

"We are at the service of Iran, and whenever Iran needs, we will supply it with gasoline," David Velasquez said in an interview with Fars News Agency.

Caracas currently exports around 20,000 barrels of gasoline per day to Iran.

Ankara also will continue to permit Turkish companies to sell gasoline to Iran, despite US sanctions against fuel exports to Islamic regime, Reuters reported.

"If the preference of the private sector is to sell these products to Iran, we will help them," said Turkish Energy Minister Taner Yildiz.

Following the June 9 UN Security Council resolution, the US and EU imposed unilateral sanctions against Iran over its nuclear program, mainly targeting the country's energy and banking sectors.

Washington will deny access to US markets for those companies that supply Tehran with refined petroleum products but that’s not enough, they should cut the supply at its roots and review who’s an ally and who’s not.

Tehran has shrugged off the sanctions, saying it is capable of meeting its domestic gasoline needs by constructing new refineries and improving the existing ones. Anyhow this is just a miscalculation from Iran’s regime and all Iranians know that’s impossible.
