This Ireporter covered this world premier film at Riverside, CA, on 8.19.12 at the Cinema Star University Village Theatres. The picture is directed and produced by Scott Baker, and gave CNN Ireport the full rights to show this film in its entirety on CNN.
The movie is a heist film, where three items assigned had to be in it: A toothbrush, the line "Now That's Not Right!", and the character had to be a photographer named Ned or Nora Hammond.
The entire film had to be shot, wrote, and edited within 48 hours. The filmmakers did not know what there genre was until they drew it from a hat.
I spoke to Anthony Doriron of Vegan Cannibals, here is his take on the shoot - The film was shot at the Historic Hemet Theater in Hemet CA - Is this theater haunted???
It was one crazy weekend. We stampeded into the Lobby of the Historic Hemet Theater and was given a tour by a likable fellow named Emerson.
While we piled our equipment in, he told us a little history about the place and suggested the place could be haunted, errr, inhabited, by a passive entity that would probably cause us no harm.
With that kept in mind, we went ahead and dove into the magic of making films. Once we got started, we ran like a well oiled machine and quickly moved from one shot to the next, make-up effects prepping the next "victim" and having them ready for the next catastrophe.
The crew and cast we're so much fun to work with and I still get excited just thinking of some of the great scenes we shot. Emerson was a great host and our Thanks really go out to him. I think the "Entity" also helped out here and there and really gave the film the edginess we were looking for.
Thanks to all on The Vegan Cannibals Team!
