The great drought and forest fires in British Columbia
have blocked out the sun in Alberta for over a week. Temperatures are around 10 degrees to 15 degrees Celcius. The situation in B.C. is critical with over 300 fires
burning, still no rain and the worst is yet to come they predict.
In the 1950's in some years we never saw the sun for weeks, it was hard to breathe and at dusk visibility was about half a mile at best.
So we've seen this all before. It is all part of nature's cycle.
These photos were taken on a good day when the pall had lifted somewhat.
