San Gennaro Feast (NYC) A Taste of Italy

The 84th Annual Feast of San Gennaro, New York City’s longest running, largest and the most respected religious outdoor festival in the United States, is in full swing on the streets of New York City's historic Little Italy.  The Feast of San Gennaro began Thursday, September 16 and will run through Sunday, September 26, 2010.

 

This year’s San Gennaro Feast is expected to once again attract more than one million people from all over the world to participate in the festivities and sample the wide variety of delicious ethnic foods, delicacies, restaurants and cafes.

 

Although this is an annual celebration of faith, the Feast of San Gennaro is known the world over for its festive atmosphere.  The 11-day event features religious processions, colorful parades, lively music and entertainment and lots of fun and food for the entire family.
