Quite a quandary this issue has raised.
Did anyone really believe that the senate would decide differently, considering the issue came up during a rather distasteful election season?
Right now the members of the senate care more about their own jobs, then someone they don't knows life.
But...if it was up to me, I would make it don't ask, don't tell, for everyone.
Regardless of sexual preference.
If it's acceptable for one segment of the military, it should acceptable for all.
NO ONE should be allowed to discuss their personal issues with anyone else. Or they to must face the retribution of being discharged from the military.
NO ONE should be allowed to discuss "family" issues within their own military units, especially during war times.
Although I can understand the need a soldier might have to be able to vent to fellow soldiers their fears of being separated from the ones they love, it just shouldn't be allowed!
Sounds sort of stupid and inhumane doesn't it?
Hmmm...?
