Tehran: Cries for Freedom Pierce the Night

Last night, citizens in Tehran went on their rooftops and chanted “Allah O Akbar,” “Death to the dictator,” “Death to despotism,” and “Ya Hossein, Mir Hossein” in an attempt to demonstrate to Iran’s dictatorship regime that the people cannot be silenced and the opposition is still very much alive.

According to a citizen in Tehran who was video recording the event, regime security forces arrived with two vans and began loudly blowing their whistles in an attempt to suppress the chants.
