Barack Obama veered off script yesterday to talk about his critics.
According to USA Today, Speaking to union members in Milwaukee, Obama first stuck to his advance text by saying he is taking on "some powerful interests who had been dominating the agenda in Washington for a very long time."
He then added: "And they're not always happy with me -- they talk about me like a dog."
Presumably not a warm, cuddly dog.
As the crowd applauded, Obama noted "that's not in my prepared remarks ... but it's true."
