Of course I remember that day. I was just a six-year-old getting ready for school when the house started stirring. The thing I remember the most was the noise, everything started to rattle and crack. My mother grabbed me and my eight-year-old brother and hurried us down the stairs. We didn’t go out because that was what everyone knew: “don’t go outside, a tree or a streetlamp might fall down on you”. So we stayed inside. Up to this day I don’t know if what I remember is true, but I remember seeing the floor swirl up and down and in circles. The noise had not stopped, on the contrary, it became louder, sometimes with a louder sound in the middle. It seemed forever, until it ended.
