Today's rally of Friends of the Congo included human rights activists mostly from the Democratic Republic of Congo but also from America and even Spain. Chants of 'Genocide” and “Justice for Congo” could be heard and most activists held signs calling attention to the genocide of 6 million Congolese from 1993 to the present by Rwanda's Paul Kagame. The primary reason for demonstrating in front of the UN during the 65'th General Assembly is because the UN holds a report documenting and mapping the genocide and the activists want the UN to release this report unedited. The activists were calling out the government of Congo for their complacency. They said that Kabila Joseph is collaborating with the tyrannic regime of Rwanda to contest the UN report and to oppress the Congolese people They are expecting the international community to make note and end both regime of Kagame and Kabila.
