Stop ALL troop involvement in Iraq.

In my view there is absolutely no reason to keep one more US soldier in Iraq, not even for logistical or training purposes.

We have tens-of-thousands of troops still in South Korea, and for what?

We don’t need another fifty-thousand of our men and women in Iraq. Let them deal with their own problems, we have more than enough here to deal with.

I have a friend who just returned after his second-tour of duty in Iraq. He is in the National Guard. He was supposed to not have to return to any kind of overseas deployment for nearly two years, voluntarily. He was just given word, after only being home for a few months, that he is going to be sent to Afghanistan.

My friend has a wife and they both have been trying to adopt a child because they cannot have one of their own. They were asked to foster a child whose mother had already lost one child due to neglect and drug abuse. She had this baby, now three months old, while using Methadone. My friend and his wife still wanted to adopt the child but now with his possible deployment and the fact that his wife works, as a professional, the agency is taking a second look.

It’s just not fair that they are using these men and women up at such a rate, all in the name of world policing.
