Shiva Nazar-Ahari Released

RAHANA: Shiva Nazar-Ahari, secretary of the Committee of Human Rights Reporters and child rights activist, who had been in detention since December 20^th, has been released.

According to the RAHANA reporter, the security forces had stopped the bus that was transporting a group of civil rights activists and the families of political prisoners to Ghom in order to attend Ayatollah Montazeri’s funeral services. Several passengers in the bus including Shiva Nazar-Ahari and Koohyar Goodarzi were arrested.

Judge Pirabbas of the 16^th branch of the Revolutionary Court presided over her court session on September 4^th.   

She has been released on a 500 million tooman($500,000) bail.
