It appears because of Jupiter's presence nearest the Earth in the East August 27, 2010 at 12:46 a.m. EST, an asteroid being pulled by Jupiter's gravity came hurling into our moon that night. I was on my deck taking photos because I was told at work on Thursday that it was going to look like 2 moons, Jupiter and our moon, in the sky that night around that time. With the events that have been happening since then in San Bruno, near Boulder, Colorado and in Columbia, I thought I'd share this photo.
