On the 5 year anniversary of hurricane Katrina the rain fell for three days prior to and on 8/29/10. When I say it rained I mean it rained non-stop for days. New Orleans had local street flooding (nothing major). I wondered how ironic that it would rain for days on the anniversay of Katrina. Then late Sunday evening the rain eased and I walked outside on my patio. I couldn't believe my eyes. I looked at a rainbow over the city of New Orleans. The double rainbow was trying to form and I was just able to catch photos of it. The rain stopped that evening and we had 5 days of glorious sunshine and low humidity.
