DAY THREE - SPECIAL REPORT
DOUBLE RAINBOW!!!
Just a quick special aside in the coverage of the wildfires…
Yesterday's thunderstorms along the Front Range brought some much-prayed-for rain to help those fighting in the blazing woods west of Boulder.
In addition, said storms also brought us a gift…visible and bright and neon, hanging in the skies east of the tragedy: a double rainbow.
As I headed south from Fort Collins back to Boulder, the rainbow seemed to "follow" us all the way, providing levity of spirit and mood for all of us who have been living in fear and tension around these fires.
While my reaction wasn't as energetic as that of the "Double Rainbow Guy" (if you're in the know, you get the funny), I was incredibly moved by the intensity of this phenomenon of the visible light spectrum…
