Everyone thinks this war starting to close there and the men coming home is a wonderful thing, and for the families to have their loved ones back safe, yes it is. BUT, those men believe in what they are doing, they are GLAD to serve
, and their families are proud.
Now you have thrown them into an economy where there is little to no jobs still, housing markets plummeted and you think this is a GOOD thing for the American soldier?!
Did you stop to think about the hundreds of "reserve" soldiers that left their jobs and families, or the men that have to retire when they return?
My husband is going into his 4th deployment soon, each time, leaving a job, yes they have to "hold" it for him, but he will never advance, and what if he doesnt return? He watched 4 close friends pass away last year from the war, he missed all of our daughters High School, her special times, will ending this war bring back any of that? No, but it will certainly be the start of another battle, here at home, called uncertainty.
Independence for the Iraq's...wonderful, but what about the Americans that come home? As my husband said, if the war ends, "I'm out of a job",,,
