On Tuesday, September 7, 2010  an update on the progress  in the World Trade Center site is being given by NYC officials and developers.
The report includes construction of 1 World Trade Center (formerly known as Freedom Tower), the transportation hub, the memorial and new information on the office towers and retail space yet to be started.
Back in November 2009, I filed a report on the rising of the main tower.
I went back on Monday, September 7, 2010 to take a look at the way the site looks today.
1,2 - The left photographs show 1WTC back on November 17, 2009, just several stories high- the pictures to the right show the tower as it looked on September 7, 2010, about 30 stories tall.
3- 1WTC viewed from the northeast side.
4-5 Picture 4 is a north view of the area. The 9/11 memorial, where the first trees were planted a week ago, is seen on detail on picture 5
6-7 Also taking shape is the construction of what will be a major transportation center
8 The area brings hundreds of visitors daily. The only view the general public can get of the site is from the walkways and galleries at the World Financial Center across the West Side highway.
9  In this photograph the remaining floors of what once was a 41 story tower are barely visible. The Deutsche Bank Building, originally 1 Bankers Trust was damaged and contaminated and is being dismantled.
10 1WTC today with a rendition of how the tower will look like when completed, viewed from Church Street.
