We called him Fudgie. On 9/11 I was on a 7 day cruise to Alaska on international waters. Two years later on veterans day my cousin also an engineer lost his life building bridges in Iraq. This changed my life. I spoke at his funeral and worked hard to finish my engineering degree and pursue working in the Defense Sector. I work for Lockhee Martin the largest provider of Defense as well as I.T. technology to U.S. I needed something to be apart of that is bigger than me and now I am.
Fudgie was a great cousin with a smile that could light up an entire room. He was not the person with the most words, but he had a great sense of humor and personality.
His mother is a Doctor and father is a Lawyer (teaches) so I want to dispel the rumor that people in the Army are somehow drop outs or undesireables. These brave young men and women come from various backgrounds and upbringings and deserve the highest respect and gratitude for serving for U.S.
