I remember a young, shy player, shuttled by his mother to each and every practice and game. The young boy, Jesse, became a fine young man dedicated to his country. I am so proud of Jesse's accomplishments. He found his way in life with the US military keeping us quietly safe from foreign threats. As much as he relied on me to teach the fine art of catching a screaming line drive to third base, I relied on Jesse to fight the battle to keep us safe. I truly am blessed to have known Jesse and his beloved mother. May he rest in peace and be remembered forever! I have not forgotten this remarkable young man. I have a vivid meory of his smiling face as he got a hit or made a great play. You will live forever in my memories.
