In Galle, Sri Lanka, a town still reeling from the effects of the devastating 2004 Tsunami, Harshi Perera, a lawyer for the Human Right's organization Janasansadaya (The People's Forum) and a JusticeMakers Fellow, calls a meeting for victims of police violence and abuse of power by public officials.
The goal of this meeting is to empower these victims through collective action, and provide them with more information on their rights, and what can be done to stop violence in Sri Lanka. This is just one of the ways Janasansadaya promotes Human Rights and Judicial reform in Sri Lanka
