One case, double jeopardy Taiwan tax administration abuses government power

In 2007, the highest court has brought a verdict of not guilty on Tai Ji Men’s unjust criminal case. In addition, in January of 2010, all of the defendants received governmental compensation for unjust detention. However, over 10,000 Tai Ji Men dizi are forced to be dispelled today. The justice system in Taiwan is only a joke?

 

President Ma, Ying-Jeou of Republic of China signed “International Covenants on Civil and Political Rights” and “International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights” on Dec. 10, 2009 to follow the international standard of human rights. However, in his administration has seriously abused governmental power and violated human rights provisions in the two Covenants and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, G.A. res. 217 A (III) in Paris on December 10, 1948.

 

Tai Ji Men Qigong Academy established in 1966, is a non-profit, non-religious, and non-political culture group that preserves the essence of high Chinese culture and promotes love and peace around the world. The Taiwanese tax administration assessed unfair and inequitable taxes on Tai Ji Men and violated many tax codes and laws. Many international human rights organization in United States, France, and Russia are calling on the Taiwanese government to terminate unjust taxation to ensure the transparency of the administration. They also called out “Destroyer of culture is the sinner of history.” to remind the officials to of Taiwanese government to protect human rights and culture heritage.
