The scene from home as winds & rain started to pound the halifax area. Wind gusts up to 99 km/h were recorded and several roads were closed from downed power lines or trees. Roads towards scenic Peggy's Cove & Lawrencetown beach have been closed by police to prevent onlookers from getting into trouble by getting close to the waves.
Ferry service & the two main bridges across the harbor are closed.
