Yes its true the offshore oil industry has experienced another ACCIDENT
The ACCIDENT occurred on a oil production platfrome 120 miles offshore on the Louisiana coast
The ACCIDENT forced 13 men to evacuate the platform and seek safety in the waters of the Gulf of Mexico and await rescue from the Coast Guard
Now answer me this , when a situation gets so bad that grown men choose to jump into the open waters of the Gulf of Mexico rather than stay onboard and contain the situation , what does that tell you ?
It tells me that the men operating the offshore driling rigs and production platforms are INCOMPETENT at their jobs and taking short cuts which cause EVENTS to occur and get out of control
These men in turn lie an call it an ACCIDENT
The simple truth is the qualification for working on offshore facilities are little more than the desire to do so
Oil companies and service companies are paying lower and lower pay for these men with less and less experience and absolutely NO TECHNICAL TRAINING
The truth is less than 10% of the men working on offshore facilities have any FORMAL training
These men rely on working experience to learn as they go from day to day
Exactly the same as having a fry cook from McDonalds turn up for work at the local Auto Repair shop to work on your car brakes or power stearing on his 2nd day of work at the auto repair shop
