Walking by baby, in the back seat.

At approximately 9:00am ET this morning in Hagerstown, Maryland, a First Data employee walked by a car parked behind the building's generators. In the car was a baby, no older than one year old, in the back seat of a parked car. The windows were cracked but the car was not on. Predicted temperatures today will reach 85° F by noon.

The witnessing employee reported the vehicle to the company's security. It's not clear whether it was security, or someone else, but a person was witnessed trying to use a metal tool to open the window, likely to retrieve the child. Eventually, the window was busted out, after efforts to open the door or window did not work.

At this time, it's unknown who the parent of the child is, or the owner of the vehicle. It's also unclear why a parent, or any caretaker, would leave their child in a parked, off car on a day that is expected to reach temperatures in the 90's by mid-afternoon. More information will be included as the story is updated.
