The amazing flying skills of fixed wing and helicopter pilots was demonstrated today in Bear Creek located in Murrieta, CA as a close by wild fire burned quickly and threatened the golf course community. Specialized fire fighting helicopters flew dozens of flights landing in the golf course to access water in the community lake which was key to putting out a very smoky fire that left the community in a fog for most of the afternoon on this first day of September. The fire was met by the quick response of firefighters on the ground and air assault that was an amazing display of the skilled pilots that fly various fire fighting air machines in difficult conditions of steep hills and wild winds that can quickly turn one of these fires into a fast moving inferno.
