Is this videos can prove that Philippines is the text messaging capital of the world?

I was on front seat of the FX van going to work and I observed the car driver texting while driving. This might be risky on the safety of the passengers but most Filipinos can text while driving, walking and doing something else. When I arrived at work, I ask my friend to show me how to text without looking at the cell phone keypad.

This morning, I also received a text alert on my provider that they have a promo: for 50 pesos you can send 100 text messages to your love ones abroad and you have 10 days to use that privilege. All the service provider here in the Philippines has unlimited texting promo for a cheap cost.

On the report of US-based technology and social media news blog http://mashable.com/2010/08/17/text-messaging-infographic/ yesterday released an infographic on text messaging trends in US and around the world. Survey shows that Philippines is the text messaging capital of the world. An average Filipino subscriber sent an average of 600 text per month while US citizens can sent an average of 420 text per month.
