I did not know Matt personally. I only knew that his Mom worked at the locl WalMart and that no one had anything bad to say about him. That he was the type of person that could put that "much needed" smile on your face.
This is the one promise that I will make to you, Matt; alon with all my other brothers that have fallen in combat. You will never be forgotten. After the years come and go, people have a tendency to let others fade from their minds and their hearts. I may not always remember the full name or some other part of the person that made up who they are / were, but, I will never forget what they gave up for their country. So, when you are in your place alone and wondering if "anyone remembers me?
The answer will be yes. A lot of us will, so, my friend, even in death you will never be alone and you will never be forgotten.
