A True American Hero

Major Charles R. Soltes, Jr. will never be forgotten.  We are all grateful for his service and ultimate sacrifice - we, and those in Iraq, owe him everything.

 

Rob is survived by his wife Sally and three sons; Ryan, Brandan, and Harrision. Rob's memory lives on today.  He will always be remembered by all those family and friends who knew him, loved him and those touched by him at home and in Iraq (Rob served as a Civil Affairs Officer).

 

Major Charles R. Soltes, Jr. has been remembered and memorialized where e grew up in New Jersey, his high school, undergraduate college - Norwich University, professional school - New England College of Optometry, and in his hometown of Irvine, CA.

 

The most recent honor was presented by 48th Congressional District Representative John Campbell, III on December 16, 2009.

This bill was signed into law on May 7 by President Obama.
