The IMAM from New York's funding is not transparent, has links to hamas, hamas has links to terrorism, and this IMAM has made statements that indicate he believes terrorism or 911 was justified.

Q. I believe I saw IMAM the person who proposed this mosque say on TV that the 911 attack was justified; does anyone know why or how 911 was justified?
A quote provided of IMAM Rauf on a TV show, it is different from what I remember seeing.

The retired 911 fire fighter in the video claims he has no problems with other mosques or IMAM's in the area, IMAM Rauf supports or is supported by Hamas, Hamas is considered a terrorist organization because they have used terrorism, so if these link exists you would also expect this IMAM to believe that terrorism is justified.

1) IMAM’s statement makes no sense.
2) This statement alone can influence or increase the size of the opposition.
3) He helped the Bush administration, Karen Hughes, and has links to the interrogations.
4) Muslim Saudis, G. Bush, and Halliburton all have an interest in continued oil use.
5) Most of the 911 terrorists were Saudi Muslims.
6) The oil industry may feel threatened by the current Obama administration, the clean energy and energy independence agenda.

Risk and Political Gain
It does create a risk that someone is going to place a bomb or blow it up to try to blame Muslims or direct/create hate towards them for political gain.
I'm not saying Dick Cheney or Halliburton are going to fly an airplane into this Islamic community center for political gain or to re-invade Iraq but it could happen.
Q. If a bomb were to explode in this mosque should the rights of Muslims be violated, brought to Gitmo, and tortured until they confess?
