In Chennai the capital of Tamilnadu state a Tamil Daily namely MUROSOLI which is owned by Hon'ble Chief Minister of Tamilnadu M Karunanidhi family and he himself is the Editor of the daily. In this Basheer who was as News Editor working there more than around 20 years from the bottom level to raised to that level as per reliable sources. Due to illness and hospitalised he passed away on 6th July 2010.
He was very close to the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Tamilnadu M Karunanidhi and always with him in the office. He used have all details in finger tips and at times used to give the recollections from the daily to the Hon'ble Chief Minister on the spot itself. such a remembrance power and was more than a Minister post as per the speeches made by the President, Tamilnadu Union of Journalist (Regd.2016), Vice-President: All India Journalists Union, New Delhi, Mr D S Ravindra Doss, M.A., Ml., B. Ed., . He also spoke very high of Late Basheer and his work, and not only Murasoli but the Journalist field has lost a very great writer, Journalist, Philosopher. He gave his heavy condolences to the family of late Basheer and told that always the Union will stand with them at all the depressed periods in future. Also he said that he will make the necessary arrangements to get the Govt. fund of deceased journalists amount of Rs.2 lakhs to the beavered family.
Next spoke Ex-Minister Samayanallur Selvaraj and praised the services of late Basheer done in the Murasoli daily and said the nation and State of Tamilnadu has lost a very great journalist. He gave his condolences to the beavered family.
