My grandson and I recently visited Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. We also visited Dead Horse Point State Park. It was a free parks weekend and we took advantage of there being no entry fees at any national parks. The weather was clear and we got some spectacular views on film.
The place was named dead horse point because it was used by cowboys to capture wild horse. Once the cowboys got the horses out on the point the horses had two choices. Go with the cowboys or go 1000 feet straight down.
