Rainbow Above Rafting Camp on Colorado River

I recently took a 2 day white water rafting trip down a section of the Colorado River that runs between Grand Junction, Colorado and Moab, Utah. It's called Westwater Canyon. The canyon bottom is made of 1.7 billion year old shiny black rock. The rock above it is very high red sandstone cliffs. It's an absolutely beautiful canyon.

Before I left on the trip with my grandson we checked for rain. He didn't have a rain fly for his tent. The prediction was 0% chance of rain. Nature has the last laugh of course. We set up our tents in the rain, but then it stopped and created the beautiful double rainbow in the photo. We never got anymore rain and stayed dry that night.

The2nd photo is where we camped and the third shows the Black Vishnu Shist (black rock) on the right and the Wingate Formation (red sandstone) on the left.
